In just a span of a few weeks, life around the world has been upended in the wake of COVID-19. The pandemic has brought a range of new challenges to supplying the food people depend upon. Starting the year 2020, the men’s department at RCJC Siquijor initiated the growing of vegetables in their humble farm as high prices rise for organic produce. Our hard-working brothers responded to the crisis and worked together to not only share the provision with our family in the Lord but also to improve health by physical activity and a healthier diet. This has also taught them to value unity and teamwork and that a difficult situation can only bring them closer together. Joy and gratitude increased as they gathered to harvest fresh vegetables. Even up to this day, they have continued reaping the benefits of their labor. This is a testimony that God will never leave nor forsake His children.
